The Caddo Sheriff's Marine Patrol has discovered a body in the Red River, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Around 7 a.m., CPSO Cpl. Frank Edmondson was patroling the river in search of a man reported missing by Bossier City Police last week when he discovered a body on the Bossier side near the end of McDade Street. It has not been determined if this is the missing person officials have been searching for.

Edmondson contacted Bossier City Police and the Bossier Coroner. The CPSO Marine Patrol is assisting with recovery efforts.
