A Shreveport man died Thursday night after crashing his motorcycle in south Caddo Parish.

Henry C. Cella, 47, of the 4900 block of Albany Road, was airlifted to LSU Health Sciences Center after he collided with a vehicle at the intersection of Post Oak and Sparks Davis Road. He later died from his injuries.

Cella was traveling west on Post Oak just before 8 p.m. when KristinWinland turned left onto the roadway from Sparks Davis. The two vehicles collided in the intersection. Deputies with the Caddo Sheriff's Office Traffic Safety Unit say it appeared Cella was speeding and disregarded the stop sign. The accident is still under investigation.

Winland, 24, of the 1900 block of Post Oak in Keithville, was transported to Willis-Knighton South by Caddo Fire District #4 for non-life threatening injuries.

Cella was wearing a helmet but it was not DOT approved.
