Caddo Sheriff's deputies are investigating a one-vehicle crash that left a Shreveport man dead earlier today, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Bobby Glenn Morris, 56, was traveling westbound on Jefferson Paige Road just past Jolly Napier when his truck left the road, struck a ditch, and flipped several times. Morris was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Sheriff's Sgt. Mike Vaitkus said it appeared that Morris was traveling at high rate of speed when the crash occurred. The time of the crash was just after 5 p.m. 

Caddo Sheriff's Patrol deputies, Fire District #3, and the Caddo Sheriff's Traffic Safety Unit responded.
