The Caddo Sheriff’s Office Regional Training Academy is hosting counterdrug training for area law enforcement officers involved in high-risk warrant entries, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

The class provides the basics in planning, communications, rehearsals, execution and mechanics of movement for all levels of law enforcement. At the conclusion of the course, participants will recognize the importance of detailed planning, preparation, and deployment techniques associated with the successful execution of narcotics search and arrest warrants.

The course is being taught by the Regional Counterdrug Training Academy from Meridian, MS.

Fifteen officers are attending the class. They are from the Caddo and Bossier Sheriff’s Offices, Shreveport and Bossier City Police Departments, and the Barksdale Air Force Base Emergency Services Team.

Media Note: If you would like to cover this story and get video today, training will be taking place after 1 p.m. in the back lot of the CPSO substation at 4910 North Market. The next opportunity would be at 6 p.m. Thursday at the CPSO Regional Training Academy.
