An employee at Oak Terrace Alternative School was arrested by the Caddo Sheriff's Office on Tuesday for sending sexually-explicit messages to a student, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Van Rogers Goodman IV, 36, of the 3200 block of Tower Street in Shreveport, was arrested following an investigation by Caddo Detective Robert Greer. Goodman was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on charges of indecent behavior with a juvenile and computer-aided solicitation of a minor for sexual purposes.

Goodman, who works in the school's physical education department, is accused of sending inappropriate messages and photographs to the cell phone of a 14-year-old female student during school hours. The girl asked Goodman to keep her phone for her after she remembered she had brought it to school. She found the messages when she retrieved the phone from Goodman.
