Caddo Sheriff deputies are investigating a major vehicle accident involving a pedestrian which occurred in south Caddo Parish early this morning, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Just before 4 a.m., a motorist was traveling eastbound in his is vehicle on LA-3132 near the Terry Bradshaw Passway and Walker Road exit, when he struck what he believed appeared to be a deer running across the highway.

The motorist later discovered it was a male pedestrian wearing dark colored clothes.  

The pedestrian was transported from the scene to Oschner LSU Health where he later succumbed to his injuries. No names are being released at this time.

The crash is still being investigated by the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.
