Brothers’ argument ends in stabbing

An argument between two brothers over a can of pork and beans ended with one man in the hospital and the other in jail on Tuesday.

Caddo Sheriff’s Deputy Jairo Rivera said Willie Casst, 54, and his brother, Agusta Wells, 63, both of Gilliam, had been drinking alcohol and got into an argument at their home in the 3900 block of Sartor Road. Wells swung his fist at his brother, but missed. Casst picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Wells in the left arm and shoulder blade.

Wells received treatment at North Caddo Medical Center in Vivian. Casst was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on a charge of aggravated battery.
