The Caddo Sheriff’s Office is advising property owners to pay their taxes before close of business at 5 p.m. May 5 to avoid having the property included in the upcoming tax sale.
 
The Sheriff’s tax sale is scheduled for May 6-8 on the ground floor of the Caddo Parish Courthouse. About 4,700 properties – land, commercial, and residential – are currently listed for sale. That’s about 1,200 more properties than in recent years.

Property owners can check the delinquent tax list in the Caddo Citizen or Shreveport Sun newspapers if they are unsure whether their properties will be for sale. They can also check the Caddo Sheriff’s Office website at caddosheriff.org.
