A Shreveport man was arrested by a Caddo Sheriff’s detective for sexually assaulting a woman in south Caddo Parish.

John Milton Stephens, 43, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center by Detective Terry Richardson on one count of forcible rape. Stephens bond was set at $100,000.

Stephens is accused of attacking a 51-year-old woman he met at a store on April 29. He overheard the woman telling others in the store that she was looking for a place to rent. Stephens offered to show her some of his rental property, so the two left together in the victim’s car around 9:45 a.m.

The victim said Stephens directed her to drive to an isolated area where she was raped. He then directed her back to the store where she dropped off Stephens. She then drove down the road to another store and called for help.
