The Caddo Sheriff’s Office Youth Services Division conducted a second holiday operation this year aimed at stopping the sale of alcohol to underage persons. Twenty-eight businesses were checked for compliance with local liquor laws, including several of the same businesses that were checked in a previous operation conducted on December 15.
"It's important that both the employee and the business are compliant if we want to keep our kids safe and prevent underage drinking," said Sheriff Steve Prator. "Convenience stores, gas stations, and such have a lot of employees, so we will keep coming back until we make sure that everyone is following the law and businesses are holding all of their employees accountable for their sales."
Employees at five of the businesses checked on Monday, December 21, were cited for illegal sales. The following is a list of employees who were issued a summons for selling alcohol to a person under the legal age of 21. Also listed are the names of the businesses where violations took place.
