A Shreveport man is in the Caddo Correctional Center today after cutting another man with a utility knife.

Caddo Sheriff's deputies were called to Crest Street inside Hillside Trailer Park in Blanchard around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Jerrit Laine Contario, 29, no address available, had been cut on the right shoulder and left side. He was taken to LSUHSC by Fire District #1.

Deputy Timothy Koob arrested Dustin Ray Flores, 22, of the 1000 block of Quail Creek Road in Shreveport, and booked him into CCC for aggravated second-degree battery.

Deputies said Flores told them that Contario approached his truck and hit him in the face twice while he was seated in the driver's seat. Flores drove away, then turned the truck around to drive out of Crest Street. Contario approached him again, and Flores cut him with the knife.
