Caddo Sheriff’s investigators arrested a Shreveport woman for stealing more than $600,000 from her employer over the past four years, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Katherine O. Phillips, 56, of the 10000 block of Stratmore, turned herself in on June 12 after Financial Crimes Detective Frank Edmondson obtained a warrant for her arrest. Phillips was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on a theft charge. She was then released on $50,000 bond.

Phillips was an accounts receivable clerk for a local food service company. She worked for the company for 25 years and began manipulating accounts over the last four years of her employment to illegally obtain cash money. Phillips was able to take a small amount of cash from the business each workday, which she used to pay for medical and family expenses.
