Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator is proud to announce the promotion of two deputies.
Robert Jump, Deputy Director for Homeland Security & Emergency Preparedness and Sgt. Tony LeBlanc have been promoted to the ranks of captain and lieutenant respectfully. Captain Jump and Lieutenant LeBlanc’s new duties include Telecommunications as well as Homeland Security responsibilities.
“These two promotions are long overdue,” said Sheriff Prator. “The work that this office provides for the citizens of Caddo Parish is incalculable as they constantly coordinate all emergency efforts before, during, and after any and all disasters that may occur in Caddo Parish.”
During an emergency event, the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness takes the lead to mobilize all the available local and state resources in order to save lives and to protect property.
Sheriff Prator says since Captain Jump and Lieutenant LeBlanc have led Caddo Parish in Emergency Planning, Response, and Active Shooter training, it makes perfect sense to add to their duties the responsibility for all communications for the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office.
