The number of residential break-ins typically increases during the summer months when residents go on vacation and spend more time away from home. Here’s what you can do to protect your property and avoid becoming a victim.

Sheriff Prator advises Caddo residents to take advantage of the free Patrol Request service provided by the Caddo Sheriff’s Office. A patrol deputy will check your home while you are away and ensure it remains safe and secure.

To take advantage of this service, visit our website, click the Patrol Request tab, and follow the instructions.

Shreveport residents, please call 673-7221 to get your property checked by an officer with the Shreveport Police Department.
