Sheriff Prator swears in 18 deputies

Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator administered the Oath of Office to 18 newly hired deputies in a ceremony today at Government Plaza.

“I am pleased to have such a large group of recruits joining the Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office,” Sheriff Prator said. “We welcome them and are excited to put them right to work.”

The 18 new deputies are Madison Brian, William Land, Jasmine T. Thomas, Logan Fontenot, Katherine McCollister, Carl Moody, Penny Lane, Shanice Brown, Daniel Williams, David Williams, Catherine Rogers, Marlo Williams, Tyekia Willis, Brittany Young, Nya Walter, Logan Bostic, Lavelle Mitchell, and Kalyn Carter.

Like many other law enforcement agencies nationwide, the Caddo Sheriff’s Office has seen a shortage of applicants in recent years. There are more than 60 job vacancies within the Sheriff’s Office.

If you are looking for a career that offers excitement in the workplace and allows you to make a difference in our community, then the Caddo Sheriff’s Office has a position for you. Applicants can be as young as 18 years old. There are openings for patrol deputies, licensed practical nurses, clerks, and security deputies.
