Caddo detectives investigate I-20 shooting

Update: On April 23rd, Gurpreet Singh Judge, 36 out of California, identified as the victim in the I-20 on-ramp Homicide in Greenwood, Louisiana.

After further investigation, Caddo Sheriff’s detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Amanvir Singh, 34, out of Mississippi charged with second-degree murder.

Caddo Sheriff’s detectives are in Jackson, Mississippi currently working with law enforcement where Singh is in custody and will be extradited to Caddo Parish.

This investigation is on-going.

Caddo Sheriff’s detectives are investigating a shooting that left one man dead on I-20 in Greenwood, said Sheriff Jay Long.

Around 10:15 this morning, two drivers were seen arguing outside their vehicles on the westbound onramp at Exit 3 in Greenwood. One was driving an 18-wheeler and the other was driving a dark-colored SUV. Detectives say they believe the argument may have involved a case of road rage.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was seen trying to flee on foot before he was shot by the driver of the SUV.

He was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the SUV left the scene headed westbound on I-20 towards Texas.

Harrison County officials have been notified of the suspect vehicle’s description. There is no further information on either the victim or suspect at this time. Exit 3 westbound remains closed.
