Charges upgraded in death of Ida woman

Charges were upgraded today against a man arrested in November for the negligent homicide of his girlfriend.

Glenn Foster, who admitted that he ran over his girlfriend Carrie Foster on November 03, 2009, had his charges upgraded to second-degree murder following a preliminary examination in Caddo District Court. After listening to evidence against Foster, Judge Mike Pittman stated there was cause for the higher charge. Foster's bond was raised to $250,000.

Jones’ body was found by Caddo sheriff's deputies in the front yard of the couple’s residence at 18667 Buffalo Road in Ida. An autopsy revealed she suffered blunt force injury and had multiple broken bones.

Foster told deputies he found Jones dead in the front yard, but later admitted that he had run over her on their 12-acre property and moved her body to the front yard. He said he was drinking at the time and that it was an accident.
