*Update Clerk arrested for using stolen card

A convenience store clerk used a stolen credit card to pocket more than $2,000 in one day, according to Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator. Jessica Monique Harris,18, of the 700 block of Damaka, was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center after her arrest for unauthorized use of an access card. Caddo Sheriff's Detective Frank Edmondson, of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force, said Harris used her position as a clerk at a convenience store/gas station on Monkhouse Road to pull off the crime. When customers paid for gas in cash, she would pocket the money, then use a stolen Fuelman gas card to activate the gas pumps. Edmondson said Harris stole about $3,300 in one week. Of that amount, $2,000 was pocketed in one day. Detectives are still looking for an acquaintance of Harris' who is accused of stealing the Fuelman card from his place of employment.

On March 17, Zantrell Lewis, 21, of the 4100 block of Marston in Shreveport, was booked into C.C.C. for unauthorized use of an access card. Lewis had access to the card at his place of employment and was seen at the convenience store at the same time the card was used.
