Caddo sheriff's deputies arrested a Belcher man for the aggravated rape of a three-year-old girl.

A Caddo Parish Grand Jury returned an indictment on Thursday against 29-year-old Nicholas Jeremiah Burks after hearing details of an investigation conducted by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Dorothy Brooks. Sheriff's patrol deputies arrested Burks Thursday night near his residence in the 10000 block of Gracie Road, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.
 
Burks is accused of sexual activity involving the girl while she visited his home in 2009. The offenses occurred on more than one occasion, according to detectives.

Burks was booked into Caddo Correctional Center. His bond has been set at $500,184.
