A former accountant for Twin Cities Development was arrested on theft charges today for stealing nearly $300,000 from the company, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Stephanie Sullivan Hall, 39, of the 6300 block of West Oxbow Circle in Bossier City, was arrested by Sheriff's Detective Bobby Herring of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force. She was booked into Caddo Correctional Center for theft.

Herring said Hall manipulated lease purchase reports, computer programs, and company records in order to generate fictitious checks which she then fraudulently negotiated through her personal bank account. She is accused of stealing $294,272 between May 2008 and December 2009.

The investigation revealed Hall spent some of the money on debt but gambled most of the money away.
