Suspect arrested for burglary

The man wanted for the March 7 business burglary at Halco Production Machining was arrested this morning and booked into the parish jail.

Arthur Ray Lockett Jr., 44, of Shreveport, was hiding in a closet at a house in the 2700 block of Murphy Street when he was arrested on warrant obtained by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Keith Fox. He was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center on two counts of simple burglary.

Lockett is accused of breaking into Halco Production Machining Inc. at 1922 Barton Drive.A laptop and cell phone were taken during the burglary. Lockett is also suspected in a vehicle break-in at the same location where a wallet and a set of golf clubs were stolen.
