A Shreveport man is in jail on a charge of armed robbery for stealing another man's cell phone at gunpoint.

Ketric Carter, 30, of the 2900 block of Fulton St., was arrested Tuesday on a warrant obtained by Sheriff's Detective Terry Richardson. Carter was located at a business on Quail Creek Drive in Shreveport.

According to Richardson, on February 22, Carter accompanied a woman to the 2000 block of Stagecoach Road in Keithville where she had arranged to purchase a car from the victim. During a discussion about the price of the car, Carter pulled a gun, pushed the victim down, hit him, and took his cell phone to prevent him from calling the Sheriff's Office. The victim received minor injuries.

The investigation is continuing.
