Caddo Parish Sheriff's deputies conducted a sobriety checkpoint on Linwood in South Caddo Parish on Thursday night, April 1.

Deputies checked 102 vehicles between 10PM and 3AM. In all 12 people were cited for various violations.

James White, 55, address not given, was charged with DWI and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. James Wood, 19, of Keithville, was charged with DWI and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Andrew Pouncy, 33, of Stonewall, was charged with Open Container and Possession of Marijuana. Tyesha Henderson, 20, of Shreveport, was arrested on outstanding warrants through the Shreveport Police Department. Donnie Austin, 51, of Shreveport, was arrested for an outstanding warrant through the Shreveport Police Department.

Of the others cited, two people were cited for open container, two for driver's license violations, and three for seatbelt violations.

The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission.
