Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator is putting alcohol vendors on notice: If your business repeatedly sells alcohol to minors, your employees are going to jail.

The Caddo Sheriff's Youth Services Division conducted an operation this past weekend targeting businesses who sell alcohol to underage customers. Twenty-five businesses in Shreveport and Caddo Parish were checked for compliance with state laws. Summonses were issued at eight of the businesses.

Prator said some of the businesses are repeat offenders where employees regularly sell alcohol to minors. Those businesses should take notice, he said. "Rest assured, we will be back to check these businesses again, and next time we will not be issuing summonses." 

Prator said businesses must take a zero-tolerance approach with their employees when it comes to selling alcohol to minors. "I'm tired of going to the same places time after time and issuing these people a summons. I don't care if you've only worked there for a week. If the business that employs you is a repeat offender and you sell alcohol to a person who is underage, then you will be going to jail."

 Prator added that the Sheriff's Office will also pursue revoking the liquor license of any business that is a repeat offender by working with other local and state authorities.

3)  Bobbie Graham, DOB 1-5-83, the Cash Majic in Vivian;
4)  Jacqueline Edwards, DOB 12-8-60, the Derrick, 6780 Colquitt in Keithville;
5)  Shonda Renee Rosales, DOB 8-25-80, S & A Truck Stop, 12300 Mansfield Road in Keithville;
6)  Asif Ayub, DOB 11-27-80, Stop and Get Liquor, 9490 Linwood;
7)  Lena Wagner, DOB 8-26-56, Stop and Get Convenience Store, 9488 Linwood; and
8)  Wendy Ott, DOB 3-8-73, Jubilee Convenience Store, 890 Flournoy Lucas Road.
