Escaped inmate in custody

Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator announced that escaped inmate Gavin Christopher Taylor has been apprehended and is in custody.  

This morning, at approximately 10:50, Detective Michael Price with Caddo Parish Sheriff's office apprehended Taylor without incident in the 600 block of W. 70th Street after receiving information that Taylor was in the area.

Taylor had escaped custody while awaiting treatment at LSUHSC earlier this morning. He now faces an additional charge of Simple Escape.  

The investigation isongoing.
