A woman was arrested for criminal mischief on Sunday for making up a story that her estranged husband pushed her out of a moving car.
Shannon Turner, 24, of the 8900 block of Countryaire in Shreveport, was arrested by Caddo deputies after witnesses contradicted her story that her husband battered her and left her at a north Caddo Parish convenience store. Turner is accused of paying the witness with a pack of cigarettes to tell deputies that she was pushed from the car and dragged. The witness told the truth to deputies, and Turner was arrested.
Turner was booked into Caddo Correctional Center and later released on $500 bond.
