Houston man charged with contributing to delinquency of local teen

A Houston man who picked up a local teen on Jewella Avenue was arrested by Caddo deputies for contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Caddo Deputies Greg Ardoin and Jeremy Bergren received a welfare concern call about an adult man, later identified as Robert Brock, and juvenile boy who were stuck in the mud in a wooded area in Keithville. When the deputies arrived, they spoke to the teen who said he skipped school and was walking down Jewella Avenue when Brock pulled up next to him and asked if he needed a ride. After the boy got into the car, Brock asked if he knew of a place to go fishing. Brock and the boy then went to Goldwater and Presidents Lane in Keithville where they drove into the woods and got stuck.

Brock told deputies that while they were together the boy smoked marijuana and he (Brock) drank beer. The juvenile's parents said Brock did not have permission to have their son away from school or home.

Brock, 50, was booked into Caddo Correctional on the contributing charge and also on a Shreveport warrant for drinking in public.
