Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator is offering a one-day safety course for college-bound students ages 17-21.

The program is from noon to 5 p.m. August 5 at Sheriff's Safety Town, 8910 Jewella Avenue. Participants will receive information on campus security, self defense, personal safety, dating violence, identity theft, safe driving, drug awareness, personal finances, and mental health awareness.

The program is open to men and women. To register, contact the sheriff’s Community Programs Section at 681-0870 or 681-0875. There is no charge for the course, but seating is limited.
