A man arrested for stealing a car hauler in June has been arrested again for stealing an excavator.
Ronald Joe Cheatham, 62, of 1923 Rossie Lee in Bossier City, surrendered on a warrant for felony theft obtained by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Terry Richardson. He was booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
Cheatham is accused of stealing a $48,000 Bobcat excavator from a job site on West 84th Street in July of 2009. The excavator was kept at an unknown location before it was sold in Arkansas in May of 2010.
In June, Cheatham was arrested for stealing a 32-foot car hauler utility trailer from a business on East 70th Street. The trailer was parked behind a business, and was hooked up to a truck in the early morning hours of June 19 and driven away by Cheatham and another man.
