The Caddo Sheriff's Office responded to a one-vehicle traffic accident this morning that left one man dead and another injured.
Bennie Ray Singletary, 56, of Florien, was traveling northbound on Keithville-Keatchie Road around 6:30 a.m. when his vehicle entered a curve, left the roadway, and hit a tree. He was driving a 2001 Dodge pickup.
Singletary was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 29-year-old Cedric Rogers of Hemphill, Texas, was taken to LSU Health Sciences Center by Life Air for treatment of injuries received in the accident.
