The former manager of a local restaurant was arrested on Wednesday for stealing nearly $30,000 from the business, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Heidi Harris, 36, was arrested in Parma, Ohio and extradited back to Caddo Parish on a warrant obtained by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Bobby Herring. She was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for theft.

Harris was employed as a manager at the Relay Station located on Hwy 1 in south Caddo Parish. From January through May 2010, Harris stole cash from her work and manipulated sales and deposit reports to conceal the thefts. The amount of theft was $29,807.59.

Once the investigation began, Harris fled to Parma. The warrant was obtained in late July, and Herring coordinated with the Parma Police Department to arrest Harris, who now lists her address as Tenaha, Texas.
