Caddo Sheriff's deputies arrested a Bossier City man on a series of charges related to recent burglaries and stolen property.

Southerland was charged with five counts of illegal possession of stolen things for having items that were taken in a March 11 burglary on LA Hwy. 169. The loss of property in that burglary was valued at $20,000. Southerland is also accused of five counts of theft for receiving money from pawn shops where he pawned property that he knew was stolen.

On Monday, Escude' added a burglary charge and three counts of illegal possession of stolen firearms. Southerland was charged with burglary for allowing his van to be used by another person to commit burglaries and receiving stolen property as payment. Further investigation turned up three stolen firearms at Southerland's residence. The firearms were taken during a burglary in Keithville on March 17.
