Deputies find flight suspect's weapons

Caddo deputies returned to the scene of Wednesday's manhunt in east Texas to search for weapons Ethan Chumley was believed to have when he fled from deputies.

During an interview with Caddo Detective Andy Scoggins, Chumley told authorities where he'd left a scoped hunting rifle and machete before emerging from the woods and being taken into custody by a Louisiana State Trooper.

Deputies found the items in the woods on a fence line running along Interstate 20. He'd had them in his possession during the eight hours law enforcement searched for him in thick underbrush and dense woods along the state line. Chumley had also removed a second rifle from his Cadillac Escalade and left it on top of an oil tank in the woods. Deputies found that weapon early in the search on Wednesday, but believed Chumley remained armed with the second weapon during their search.

Chumley remains in the Caddo Correctional Center on aggravated flight and aggravated property damage charges.
