A Shreveport man was arrested Tuesday for home improvement fraud after he failed to complete a job or return any money that had been paid to him.

Detectives said Ryan Ross, 34, of the 7100 block of Bostwick Road, was paid $20,500 to complete a home improvement project but only finished half the job. Ross stopped work on the project in September 2009. Afterward, he failed to return any money to the victim and refused his phone calls.Ross told detectives he used the money on another project.

Ross was arrested and booked into the Caddo Correctional Center following an investigation by Caddo Det. Bobby Herring of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force.
