Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator and Shreveport Police Chief Willie Shaw said 58 pounds of marijuana were seized by the Caddo-Shreveport Narcotics Task Force on Tuesday following a brief investigation at the downtown Greyhound bus terminal.

Agents responded to the bus station after SPD patrol officers were alerted about a suspicious person on one of the buses.Shreveport K-9 Cpl. Will Bates conducted a search with his dog Kevin and found an abandoned bag inside a compartment of the bus. The bag contained approximately 28 pounds of suspected marijuana.  A second bag containing approximately 30 pounds of marijuana was also located.

The owner of the bag could not be immediately determined, so no arrests were made, but the investigation is continuing.
