Caddo Sheriff's deputies arrested a Shreveport man on multiple charges after he led authorities on a pursuit in south Caddo Parish on Monday.
Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator said a homeowner in the 1000 block of Chipper Lane told deputies that he found Gregory James Reeder, 36, going through his property in an enclosed garage. When Reeder saw the homeowner, he jumped on a motorcycle and fled the scene.
The homeowner called 911 and followed Reeder in his car. Deputies responded and located Reeder on Williamson Way. Reeder refused to stop the motorcycle and led deputies on a chase on Kingston Rd. After a short while, Reeder crashed the motorcycle on Stagecoach Road and fled on foot. Deputy Jessica Benevage followed Reeder in her patrol car and took him into custody nearby. The motorcycle was determined to be stolen from South Lakeshore Drive in Shreveport on April 23.
Reeder was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for attempted simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling, aggravated flight from an officer, and felony illegal possession of stolen things. Bond on each charge was set at $50,276.
