Waitress cashes in after stealing customer's wallet

A Shreveport restaurant employee was arrested for stealing a customer's wallet and using his credit cards to make over $1,000 in purchases, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Amber Blazer, 21, of the 1600 block of Malcom Street, is accused of stealing the wallet after the customer left it on the seat at the restaurant. Blazer along with other employees used the victim’s credit cards to make purchases at Wal-Mart and fuel purchases at several Shreveport gas stations. They also allowed others to purchase gas with the credit cards, then received half the amount of the purchase back from them in cash. In all, $1,138 was charged on the victim's cards.

Caddo Sheriff's Detective Bobby Herring booked Blazer into the Caddo Correctional Center for unauthorized use of an access card. The investigation is continuing and more arrests are expected.
