Caddo sheriff’s deputies have identified the woman killed in a traffic crash on I-220 this morning as Sherry Gartee Chandler, 50, of Bossier City.

Deputies said Lauren Llewwllyn, 19, of Shreveport was driving a Toyota Scion eastbound on I-220 when she changed lanes for merging traffic and cut off an approaching Mercury Mountaineer that she didn’t see in her blind spot. The driver of the Mountaineer, Shelevia Richardson, 34, of Shreveport, lost control of her car, crossed the median, and hit Chandler’s westbound Chrysler van. Chandler died at the scene, and Richardson was taken to Willis-Knighton North for treatment.

Llewwllyn was issued a citation for careless operation. The crash is under investigation by the Caddo Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit.
