Caddo Sheriff’s Camp underway at Garland Scout Ranch

Two Caddo Sheriff's deputies will be promoted by Sheriff Steve Prator during a ceremony at 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 14, at the Caddo Correctional Center Work Release Facility. 

John Hay, an 18-year deputy, and Darin Marshall, a 16-year deputy, will both be promoted to the rank of sergeant. Hay has served in Corrections and Patrol and will assume command of the sheriff's Hazardous Materials Unit. Marshall has served in Corrections, Patrol, and Investigations, and in the U.S. Army Reserves. Upon his promotion, Marshall will become a patrol supervisor in south Caddo Parish.

Recognition will also be given to Nicole Mayfield, Judy Preston, Laura Eaton, James Willis, Michal Bacon, and Michael Pye for five years of service; Carolyn Robinson and Bobby Wyche, 10 years of service; Carolyn Peterson, and Diane D. Smith, 15 years of service; Cole Flournoy, 20 years of service; and Ron Holt and Linda White, 25 years of service.

Sheriff Prator will also present the Sheriff's Office Lifesaving Award to Deputy Christopher Menard for performing lifesaving CPR on his stepson who was injured when his jugular vein was cut by a broken broom handle.
