Caddo sheriff's deputies arrested a Frierson man overnight for a burglary and attempted rape in north Caddo Parish, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Deputies were called to the 3300 block of Nadene Street in Shreveport where a 25-year-old woman reported she was awakened by a man crawling through her bedroom window. The woman said she tried to keep the intruder out but he forced his way inside the house and grabbed her around the neck. The man held her down on the bed and ripped her boxer shorts while attempting to take them off, she said. The woman managed to get away and escaped through the open window to a neighbor's.

Deputy William Manchester found the suspect walking down the street about a block away. Manchester arrested Jeremy H. Sullivan, 17, and booked him into the Caddo Correctional Center for aggravated burglary and attempted forcible rape.
