A Caddo Parish man is in jail charged with cruelty to a juvenile.

Jimmy Dale Cotten, 34, of the 8700 block of Pinehaven in Keithville, was arrested Wednesday by Caddo Sheriff's Detective Dorothy Brooks.

Cotten is accused of causing repeated physical and mental abuse to a juvenile family member. Most recently he caused a black eye and bruises to the teen-ager by hitting her in the face with a metal belt buckle.

Cotton is currently is the Caddo Correctional Center.
