A financial agent for an 81-year-old Shreveport man was arrested today for stealing over $124,000 from his client, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Achillea Kirkikis, 32, of Ruston, was arrested at the Financial Crimes Task Force office after an investigation by Caddo Sheriff's Det. Frank Edmondson.

Kirkikis is accused of depositing annuity checks that belonged to the victim into his personal bank account while working as an agent at a Ruston-based insurance and financial services business. The thefts began in 2008 and continued until January 2011 when the victim began asking questions about his account. The total amount of the thefts was $124,055.16.

Kirkikis was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center for felony theft.
