Caddo Sheriff's Deputy Maurice Whitten will be promoted to the rank of sergeant during an 8:30 a.m. ceremony Tuesday, April 15, at Caddo Correctional Center, announced Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Whitten is a seven-year employee of the Sheriff's Office assigned to the Security Division at Caddo Correctional Center.

In addition to Whitten's promotion, others will be recognized for career advancements and years of service with the Sheriff's Office.

Deputies advancing to the corporal rank include John Moore of the Detention Division, Calvin Williams of the Youth Services Division, and Richard Porter of the Patrol Division. All have been with the Sheriff?s Office for 10 years. Lester McDaniel Jr. will be recognized for his advancement to senior deputy. He is a five-year employee of the Sheriff's Office assigned to CCC Security.

Prator will also recognize other employees for their years of service with the Sheriff?s Office. They include Janice Graham, for five years of service; Marvette Griffin and Tiffiney Brown, 10 years of service; Michael McDaniel, Judy Griffin, and Robert Brown, 20 years of service; and James Upton, 25 years of service.
