Caddo sheriff's detectives arrested a Keithville teen in connection with several car break-ins in south Caddo Parish, including an unmarked police car, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Detectives have been investigating reports of several vehicle burglaries that occurred in late August in the Eagles Nest, Breckenridge, and Grawood subdivisions. During the investigation, they located a Shreveport Police radio, handcuffs, and a digital recorder that had been taken from an unmarked police car in Breckenridge and hidden in a wooded area near Grawood. Detectives also recovered four guns taken from other vehicles.

Caddo Detective Donnie Laney arrested a 16-year-old teen on three counts of principal to burglary and one count of accessory to burglary. The teen was booked into the Caddo Juvenile Detention Center.

The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending.
