The Caddo Sheriff’s Office has obtained warrants for the arrest of Joseph R. Colvard III for forgery and bank fraud, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Colvard, 27, of 7979 Holly Ridge Drive in Keithville, is accused of forging royalty checks stolen from mailboxes in Keithville and cashing the checks at a local bank.

Colvard is a white male, 5’9, 155 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is known to drive an early ‘90s red Ford truck.

Detectives with the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force are looking for Colvard for these and other crimes. Authorities say he has made threats against law enforcement and should be considered armed and dangerous.
