The manager of a north Shreveport restaurant was arrested for felony theft for using cash stolen from the business to gamble.

Deidra Jenkins, 40, of the 6800 block of Rasberry Lane, was arrested this morning by Sheriff’s Detective Doug Smith of the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force.

Jenkins was the general manager at the Dairy Queen located at 5904 North Market when she stole eight separate cash deposits that she was responsible for depositing. The total amount of the theft was $3,108.92. 

Jenkins was booked into the Caddo Correctional Center.
