Caddo sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle crash in the 9300 block of Buncombe Road just after midnight, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

A westbound pickup truck crossed the center line and hit a bridge rail, then went airborne and landed upside down on the creek bank. The driver (female, sole occupant) was dead on scene.

The driver was wearing her seatbelt. No name has been released pending notification of next of kin.

The accident remains under investigation by the Caddo Sheriff’s Traffic Safety Unit.
