A cashier at a local discount store was arrested by Caddo sheriff’s detectives on Thursday for theft.

Shondarrell T. Reed, 20, of the 2800 block of Abbie, was employed at Wal-Mart as a cashier, where she loaded gift cards in the amount of $1,200 but didn’t put any cash in the register. Reed was caught on store video committing the theft.

Reed was arrested Sheriff’s Detective Bobby Herring and booked into Caddo Correctional Center.
