Caddo deputies arrested two people on Monday for causing injury to a 9-month-old baby girl, said Caddo Sheriff Steve Prator.

Joseph Ouzts, 20, and Ashley Behan Bailey, 20, both of 8310 Dixie Blanchard Road, were booked into the Caddo Correctional Center following an investigation by Detective Dororthy Carter of the Caddo Sheriff's Youth Services Division. Both were arrested for cruelty to a juvenile for causing injuries to the child while she was in their care.

The baby was taken to a local hospital by ambulance on Friday and remains there today. She had two black eyes and bruises on her forehead and the top of her head.

Detectives also learned that the baby had been placed in an infant swing, where she slept all night without being checked on.
