CSO arrests man for breaking into storage units

Caddo sheriff’s detectives arrested a man for breaking into 23 storage units, said Sheriff Steve Prator.

Sean Patrick Sharp, 24, of Blue Spring, Mo., is being held at Caddo Correctional Center on 23 counts of simple burglary and one count of unauthorized entry of a business. Sharp was also booked on unrelated CPSO warrants for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

On January 17, 1 North Storage in the 6800 block of North Market reported that someone had cut the fence leading to their property and the locks on several rented storage units. Three of the units had items missing. Among the property taken were four long guns, a compound bow, and a World War II gas mask.

Caddo Sheriff’s Detective Jason Morgan, who investigated the case, said the guns were recovered from another man who unknowingly bought the stolen items from Sharp. The other items were located at Sharp’s girlfriend’s residence in Elm Grove during the execution of a search warrant on Jan. 23.
